Council President, H. Gilbert Williams at 7:30pm, called the Schwenksville Borough Council Meeting of April 12, 2007 to order.
Present: H. Gilbert Williams, Ray Yeanish, Joe Giunta, Mayor Carroll Rosenberger,
F. Thomas Snyder, Jr., Chief Tim Hoppes, Gail Phillips.
Absent: Donald A. Whitko, Barbara Slater
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: By the assembly.
Mr. Williams took a moment to reflect on the passing of Josephine Gill.
“Josephine will be missed”.
MINUTES: Dispense with the reading of the Minutes of March 8 and March 22, 2007. MOTIONED BY RAY YEANISH AND SECONDED BY JOE GIUNTA. IT WAS VOTED TO DISPENSE WITH THE READING OF THE MINUTES OF MARCH 8, AND MARCH 22, 2007. ALL WERE IN FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.
Approval of the Minutes of March 8 and 22, 2007
MOTIONED BY RAY YEANISH AND SECONDED BY JOE GIUNTA. Correction under Engineer report March 8, 2007 (Perkiomen Trail Gateway-revising the plan to remove the items needs to go to the Planning Commission and then to Borough Council). IT WAS VOTED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF March 8 and March 22, 2007 with correction. ALL WERE IN FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE: – Gail Phillips
Statement of Revenues/Expenditures to Budget Comparison for January 1, 2007 to March 31, 2007 was presented to council for their approval. Monthly Council Cash Available Report as of March 31, 2007.

Bills totaling $43,387.90 have been paid.

IT WAS VOTED TO ACCEPT THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE REPORT AS PRESENTED. ALL WERE IN FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.

SOLICITOR’S REPORT: Crystal Fisher
Ordinance #341 – Zoning Ordinance Amendment – Compliance with Regional Comprehensive Plan.
MOTIONED BY JOE GIUNTA AND SECONDED BY RAY YEANISH TO ADOPT ORDINANCE #341. ALL WERE IN FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.
Fee Schedule – Borough has it to review, Fee schedule not complete.
MOTIONED BY RAY YEANISH TO MOVE FORWARD WITH FEE SCHEDULE AS STATED WITH THE PROVISO THAT WE GO BACK AND LOOK AT THIS RENTERS SITUATION AND GENERATE SOME LEGISLATION THAT DOES US SOME GOOD. SECONDED BY JOE GIUNTA. ALL WERE IN FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.

MOTIONED BY JOE GIUNTA AND SECONDED BY RAY YEANISH TO FIX POT HOLES ON FOREST LANE NOT TO EXCEED $1,500. ALL WERE IN FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.

Motion by Ray Yeanish and seconded by Joe Giunta to pass the Resolution. All were in favor and the motion carried.

also wanted to express his feelings about Josephine Gill, “she is one of the
most public servants that we have had here in the borough.” “She is the one
behind the scenes that kept things moving.” She will be greatly missed.
Councilman
Ray Yeanish also said, “She was the cog in the wheel that never made any out
motion but always kept it moving.”
Money approved for
pot holes $1,500.00
