Council President, H. Gilbert Williams at 7:30pm,
called the Schwenksville Borough Council Meeting of February 9, 2006 to order.
Present were H. Gilbert Williams, Donald A. Whitko,
Barbara Slater, & Mayor Carroll Rosenberger, Ray Yeanish & Gene Frantz
Absent:

assembly.
MINUTES: Dispense with the reading of the Minutes of
January 12, 2006 and January 26, 2006. MOTIONED BY DONALD WHITKO AND SECONDED
BY RAY YEANISH. IT WAS VOTED TO
DISPENSE WITH THE READING OF THE MINUTES OF January 12, 2006 and January 26,
2006. ALL WERE IN FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.
Approval of the Minutes of January 12
& January 26 2006
MOTIONED BY DONALD WHITKO AND
SECONDED BY GENE FRANTZ. IT WAS VOTED
TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF January 12 & January 26 2006, with correction to be made on page 6
(January 12) to read Motion by Ray Yeanish and
seconded by Barbara Slater to have Donald Whitko be installed for
another term on the Authority Board. ALL WERE IN FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE: Gail Phillips
Statement of
Revenues/Expenditures to Budget Comparison for January 2006 was presented to
council for their approval Monthly Council Cash Available Report as of January
12, 2006. Copies of all these reports are on file at the Borough hall Office.

TO ACCEPT THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE REPORT AS PRESENTED. ALL WERE IN FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.
ENGINEER’S REPORT – Ken Yerger
Tom gave a brief report on
the bid opening for the Trail Gateway project. Bids were too high.
Project will have new bid
with different packages.
SOLICITOR’S REPORT: Crystal Fisher
Special Council meeting was
held January 26, 2006 to amend the 2006 budget.

INCREASING THE INDEBTEDNESS OF SCHWENKSVILLE BOROUGH, MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA,
BY THE ISSUE OF A GENERAL OBLIGATION NOTE IN THE AMOUNT OF #`35,000.00 FOR
SUNDRY PURPOSES; FIXING THE FORM, NUMBER, DATE, INTEREST, AND MATURITY THEREOF;
MAKING A COVENANT FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE DEBT SERVICE ON THE NOTE; PROVIDING

LESS, BEING IDENTIFIED AS PROPERTY DESIRE TO BE ACQUIRED BY SCHWENKSVILLE
BOROUGH AS PART OF THE 2005 OPEN SPACE PLAN; AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION,
EXECUTION AND RECORDING OF ANY AND ALL DOCUMENTS, DECLARATION OF TAKING, DED
–IN-LIEU OF CONDEMNATION, WRITINGS, INSTRUMENTS AND PAPERS AS MEY BE NECESSARY

BOROUGH MANAGER REPORT: Tom Snyder
Tom Gamon started Saturday
morning February 4 to take down the Christmas lights. Bucket truck broke down
will continue to take down lights when truck repaired.
Borough is still working with the Post Office on a solution to
replace mailboxes on Perkiomen Ave. at the new sidewalk.

STREETS AND ROADS: Barbara Slater – filling in of pot hole at Church
& Main Street.

Ray Yeanish – overdue trash accounts will be looked at for collection.

STREET LIGHTING: Gene Frantz – Christmas lights will be taken down as soon as the
bucket truck is repaired.
