MINUTES OF APRIL 13, 2006

 

 

 

At 7:10 pm April 13, 2006 Mayor Carroll Rosenberger has sworn in Joseph A. Giunta as Auditor. Present were Crystal Fisher, Esq., Chief Tim Hoppes, Gail Phillips.

           

            Council President, H. Gilbert Williams at 7:30pm, called the Schwenksville Borough Council Meeting of April 13, 2006 to order.

 

            Present were H. Gilbert Williams, Donald A. Whitko, & Mayor Carroll Rosenberger, Ray Yeanish.

 

 Absent: Gene Frantz, Barbara Slater

           

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:  By the assembly.

 

Conditional Use Hearing for Jim and Laura Krier has been postponed.

 

MINUTES:  Dispense with the reading of the Minutes of March 9, 2006. MOTIONED BY DONALD WHITKO AND SECONDED BY RAY YEANISH.  IT WAS VOTED TO DISPENSE WITH THE READING OF THE MINUTES OF March 9, 2006. ALL WERE IN FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.

 

 

Approval of the Minutes of March 9, 2006

MOTIONED BY RAY YEANISH AND SECONDED BY DONALD WHITKO.  IT WAS VOTED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF March 9, 2006.  ALL WERE IN FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.

 

 

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE: Gail Phillips

 

Statement of Revenues/Expenditures to Budget Comparison for April 1-13, 2006 was presented to council for their approval Monthly Council Cash Available Report as of April 12, 2006. Copies of all these reports are on file at the Borough hall Office.

 

MOTIONED BY RAY YEANISH AND SECONDED BY DONALD WHITKO.  IT WAS VOTED TO ACCEPT THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE REPORT AS PRESENTED.  ALL WERE IN FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.

SOLICITOR’S REPORT: Crystal Fisher

 

            There are Two Resolutions to adopt authorizing the acquisition of certain property consisting of approximately 1.0661 + acres and .0252 + acres.

 

            MOTION BY DONALD WHITKO AND SECONDED BY RAY YEANISH TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 2006-05 HIGHPOINT CONDEMNATION, ALL WERE IN FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.

 

            MOTION BY RAY YEANISH AND SECONDED BY DONALD WHITKO TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 2006-06 SPRING MOUNT SUMMIT CONDO ASSOC. CONDEMNATION, ALL WERE IN FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.

AUDIANCE

 

Jennifer/ Spring Mount Summit –

 

1) New Eden Church has flood lights that shine in the windows of Spring Mount Summit Residence, they have been asked to please redirect them. Lights have not been changed.

Tom will call New Eden and talk to someone about the lights.

2) Trash, Ches-Mont still coming too early and there are a number of bulk items to be picked up.  Ches-Mont will be called once again about the time and also about bulk items.

3) Jennifer also asked about Spring Mount Summit being let out of the Borough Contract.  The answer is no because they are part of the 3 year contract.

 

 

Mr. Norm Hartzell the Realtor for 192 Main st. Will there be a discussion on the Trail House Project.  Gib Williams response that this is not on the agenda for tonight.

            Noise from Nextel tower (see David’s Letter to Council)

            Schwenksville Authority owns the property that the Nextel tower/building is on.

Lora Krier – 130 W. Park Ave. conditional use hearing and would it be possible to meet earlier to solve the land development for 130 W. Park Ave. Gib Williams assured Lora that is being processed.
