Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement System – Gail presented Borough Council with the 2006 MMO worksheet. Report on file at Borough Hall.
SPECIAL GUEST – Katherine Ember, Montgomery County Planning Commission
Katherine explained the Open Space Plan. (copy on file at Borough Hall).
On September 26, 2005 the Open Space Plan is to be adopted at the Montgomery County Planning Commission meeting.

ENGINEER’S REPORT – Ken Yerger
Trailhead Project – Our traffic department has met with PaDot to discuss permitting and project issues. Preliminary design is underway.
Perkiomen Ave. Curb and Sidewalk – The bid opening results were forwarded with the low bid being $39,221.00 from Gateway Project Management, LLC. A PaDot Occupancy Permit and acquisition of the required temporary grading easements are required prior to the start of construction. We suggest the awarding of the project be delayed till the October meeting in order to acquire the permit and easements.
MOTION BY GENE FRANTZ TO AUTHORIZE TOM SNYDER TO DISCUSS THE TEMPORARY EASEMENTS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION. SECONDED BY RAY YEANISH ALL WERE IN FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.
MOTION BY RAY YEANISH TO MOVE FORWARD WITH THE BID ISSUE FOR SIDEWALK (3RD TO 4TH on Perkiomen Ave.) AND AWARD SIDEWALK PROJECT TO GATEWAY PROJECT MANAGEMENT LLC. SECONDED BY BARBARA SLATER. ALL WERE IN FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.
SOLICITOR’S REPORT: Crystal Fisher
Fire Company Recommendations and Fire Alarm Ordinance – A copy of the proposed Ordinance was sent to the Department of Labor and Industry for their review and comment. A public hearing is advertised for October 13, 2005 after which Borough Council can adopt the Ordinance provided the Department of Labor and Industry approves the Ordinance.
Telvil is working with the Borough and its Engineer to try to resolve the drainage issues. LTL Consultants, LTD, letter dated August 29, 2005 provides recommendations on how to resolve the drainage issue. Arthur Fairclough will call Skip about the letter.

would like to know who the Code Enforcement Officer is. Gib answered that this position is being
changed. Tom will follow up on the house with the roof problem and electrical
cords running under the porch of neighbors’ house.
