Reorganization Meeting

January 3, 2005

 

 

Meeting was called to order by H. Gilbert Williams at 7:02pm.

 

Pledge of allegiance was

 

 Present: Gib Williams, Barbara Slater, Gene Frantz, Donald Whitko.

Absent: Ray Yeanish and Mayor Rosenberger

 

 

The meeting was started by Gib Williams and handed over to F. Thomas Snyder Jr. to start the nominations for Borough Council President.

 

 

Donald Whitko nominated H. Gilbert Williams for Council President seconded by Barbara Slater. No further Nominations, Gene Frantz motioned to close the nominations seconded by Donald Whitko.  All were in favor.

 

F. Thomas Snyder Jr. handed the meeting back over to Gib Williams.

 

Barbara Slater nominated Donald Whitko for Vice-President and seconded by Gene Frantz. No further nominations, Gene Frantz motioned to close the nominations and seconded by Donald Whitko.  All were in favor.

 

Barbara Slater nominated gene Frantz for Pro-Temp seconded by Donald Whitko.  No further nominations, Donald Whitko motioned to close the nominations seconded by Barbara Slater.  All were in favor

 

Donald Whitko nominated Gail Phillips for Administrative Assistant and seconded by Barbara Slater.  No further nominations, Barbara Slater motioned to close the nominations seconded by Donald Whitko.  All were in favor.

 

Donald Whitko nominated Gail Phillips for Treasurer and seconded by Gene Frantz.  No further nominations, Barbara Slater motioned to close the nominations seconded by Donald Whitko.  All were in favor.

 

Donald Whitko motioned to retain for Solicitor Robert L. Brant and Loren Szczesny seconded by Barbara Slater.  Gene Frantz motioned to close the nominations seconded by Barbara Slater.  All were in favor.

 

Donald Whitko nominated Kenneth Yerger and Adam Supplee for Engineer seconded by Barbara Slater. No further nominations, Donald Whitko motioned to close the nominations seconded by Barbara Slater.  All were in favor.

Barbara Slater nominated F. Thomas Snyder Jr. for Borough Manager seconded by Donald Whitko.  No further nominations, Barbara Slater motioned to close the nominations seconded by Gene Frantz.  All were in favor.

 

 

Donald Whitko nominated Timothy Hoppes for Code Enforcement Officer seconded by Barbara Slater.  No further nominations, Gene Frantz motioned to close the nominations seconded by Gene Frantz.  All were in favor.

 

Donald Whitko nominated F. Thomas Snyder Jr. and LTL for Building/Zoning/Plumbing inspector. No further nominations, Gene Frantz motioned to close the nominations seconded by Barbara Slater.  All were in favor.

 

Donald Whitko nominated Douglas Neal for Fire Marshall seconded by Barbara Slater.  No further nominations, Gene Frantz motioned to close the nominations seconded by Barbara Slater.  All were in favor.

 

Donald Whitko nominated Timothy Hoppes for Emergency Management coordinator seconded by Gene Frantz.  No further nominations, Barbara Slater motioned to close the nominations seconded by Donald Whitko.  All were in favor

 

Gene Frantz nominated Timothy Hoppes for Police Chief seconded by Donald Whitko.  No further nominations, Donald Whitko motioned to close the nominations seconded by Barbara Slater.  All were in favor.

 

Assistant secretary was left vacant.

 

Committee terms expired 12/31/04 but were re-appointed tonight:

 

Planning commission:  Roy Miller for a 5 year term

 

Park/Recreation:  Roy Miller for a 5 year term.

 

Discussion was held on Hours for Police Chief and Code enforcement.  2 members from council will talk to Tim.

 

Loren is looking at the letter for Carroll Engineering

The Colonade is being sold. Use and Occupancy permits need to be done.  Tom will be talking with Complete Care about this.

 

 

With no other business Donald Whitko motioned to adjourn the meeting seconded by Barbara Slater.  Meeting was adjourned at 7:45p.m.
