called the Schwenksville Borough Council Meeting of October 13, 2005 to order.

ENGINEER’S REPORT – Ken
Yerger
Trailhead Project – We have
met with the County to discuss the scope of improvements proposed and will have
a plan for review for the Planning Commission meeting.
Perkiomen Avenue Curb and
Sidewalk – The project has begun and we are providing construction services
needed. Weather permitting; we
anticipate the project will be substantially completed by the end of the month.

Grant Applications – We has
assisted in the preparation of grant applications for drainage improvements to
Perkiomen Avenue and for master planning for the Centennial Street Park.
Approval from HUD for the
surveying of Miller St., Cedar St., and Boyer.

is the Borough code enforcement, Tom Snyder is going to take the test in Jan.
to become the official code enforcement officer.
Fire Alarm Ordinance -

ORDINANCES OF THE BOROUGH OF SCHWENKSVILLE AMENDING CHAPTER 90, FIRE

Open Space Plan –
MOTION BY DONALD WHITKO AND
SECONDED BY BARBARA SLATER TO ADOPT THE RESOLUTION OF THE SCHWENKSVILLE BOROUGH
OPEN SPACE PLAN. ALL WERE IN FAVOR AND
THE MOTION CARRIED.
Subdivision plan – Letter
from Carroll Engineering of October 11, 2005 has two issues.
1.
Need for easement regarding
the sewer.
2.
Driveway easement.
Final plan approval – Motion by Donald Whitko
and seconded by Barbara Slater to approve the Williams subdivision plan, on
condition of the review by Crystal Fisher, esq. All were in favor and the motion carried.

and 4th St. a conversation with the director of operations has
modified it somewhat, it is a little safer and it is still being worked on to

from Drew Larson were given to each Council member showing the bulk items. Trash is still being picked up before
5am. Three sights for bulk pick up will
be looked into. Ches-Mont would like one sight which is at the corral that was
just made.

SECONDED BY BARBARA SLATER IT WAS VOTED TO AUTHORIZE THE HALLOWEEN PARADE FOR
OCTOBER 27, 2005. ALL WERE IN FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.
AUDIENCE – Jim Keyser had a
question about the boxes on the poles that the Christmas light gets plugged
into. Will be looked at in October.
Lee Ann Miller 233 Main St.
Had a question about the traffic on Main Street and the speed of traffic.
Parking, what is the Borough doing about parking on Main St. A discussion
followed on the traffic and speed on Main Street.
Linda Wilde also mentioned
that parking on both sides of Main Street does not slow down the traffic.
