MINUTES OF June 9, 2005

        

         Council Vice- President, Donald A. Whitko at 7:30 pm, called the Schwenksville Borough Council Meeting of May 12, 2005 to order.

 

         Present were, Donald A. Whitko, Ray Yeanish, Barbara Slater, Mayor Carroll Rosenberger    

                       Absent was Gene Frantz &. H. Gilbert Williams

          

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:  By the assembly.

 

 

MINUTES:  Dispense with the reading of the Minutes of May 12, 2005 and May 26, 2005 MOTIONED BY RAY YEANISH AND SECONDED BY BARBARA SLATER. IT WAS VOTED TO DISPENSE WITH THE READING OF THE MINUTES OF May 12, 2005 and May 26, 2005. ALL WERE IN FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.

 

 

Approval of the Minutes of May 12, 2005 and May 26, 2005

MOTIONED BY BARBARA SLATER AND SECONDED BY RAY YEANISH. IT WAS VOTED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF May 12, 2005 and May 26, 2005. ALL WERE IN FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.

Presented to council for their approval:  Statement of Revenues/Expenditures to Budget Comparison to May 31, 2005. Monthly Council Cash Available Report as of May 31, 2005. Copies of all these reports are on file at the Borough hall Office.

 

 

MOTIONED BY BARBARA SLATER AND SECONDED BY RAY YEANISH. IT WAS VOTED TO ACCEPT THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE REPORT AS PRESENTED.  ALL WERE IN FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.

 

 

ENGINEER’S REPORT:  Adam Supple –

 

Perkiomen Ave. Sidewalk – Carroll Engineering will be conducting survey for additional site information needed to produce construction documents for installation of sidewalk along Perkiomen Ave.

 

Perkiomen Trail Gateway – Carroll Engineering will be conducting survey to produce a base plan for detailed design leading up to construction documents for improvements to the Perkiomen Trail Gateway area.  We are also in the early stages of coordinating with PADOT and other involved parties.

 

Lumber Yard Sketch Plan review – Carroll engineering has reviewed the sketch plans and submitted a review latter to the Borough.

Bob Brant sent a letter to the Planning Commission on the procedure by which we should process Land Development and Subdivision Plans.

 

Bob Brant introduced Crystal Fisher to the Council.  Crystal is working at Bob Brant’s office.

Tom had a meeting with Mr. Garis about the drainage on 4th st. Mr. Hill and Mr. Fairclough had questions about how the drainage was going to be fixed.  Garis has 2 weeks from 6/8/05 to come up with a plan.

4th street residents will be informed about the progress for the drainage

 

1.         Mine Hill – marking required

 

2.         Community Service will paint signposts, PLANT TREES IN MEADOW

 

3.         Park Ave. Flooding – in progress, County making changes, to grading

 

                  Awaiting Report from Dept. Fish & Boat on Meeting of April 14 with                                                        DEP & PENNDOT

NEW BUSINESS: Trail House Sketch Plan

                          Trail connection to Tailwinds                             

                                  Jac Frech has asked for an easement for his property and the County has agreed                                        to make an opening in the trail fence for access to Tailwinds shop.

 

MOTION BY RAY YEANISH AND SECONDED BY BARBARA SLATER TO GRANT AN EASEMENT REQUESTED SUBJECT TO THE ENGINEER REVIEWING AND PREPARING IT ALONG WITH BOB BRANT’S OFFICE.  ALL WERE IN FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.

 

 

AUDIENCE:  Jim Keyser – Fire Dept. question about smoke detectors.  Council suggested Jim call LTL to check on Senate Bill.

          

 

With no further business Ray Yeanish made a motion to adjourn the meeting seconded by Barbara Slater, all were in favor.  Meeting adjourned at 8:07 pm.
