Council President, H. Gilbert Williams at 7:10pm,
called the Schwenksville Borough Council Meeting of July 21, 2005 to order.
Present were H. Gilbert Williams, Ray Yeanish, Barbara
Slater, Donald A. Whitko
and Gene Frantz
Absent: Mayor Carroll Rosenberger.

MOTION BY GENE FRANTZ AND
SECONDED BY RAY YANISH TO ADVERTISE SMOKE ALARM ORDINANCE. ALL WERE IN FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.
Lumber Yard project – Concept
sketch plan which was brought forward by the Planning Commission, they
recommended Council approve it. This would then go to a preliminary phase which
would define a lot of questions. It
involves a number of different properties.
Letters have gone out by Carroll Engineering and the County. The Perkiomen Valley Economic Development
Corporation (P.V.E.D.C) and D&L will be

Working with the Borough and
the County. Gib will recluse himself he
is a member of the P.V.E.D.C and is in favor of taking the next step. Also Gene Frantz is a member of the
P.V.E.D.C and is also in favor of taking the next step .Donald Whitko read a
letter from the Montgomery County Planning Commission recommending withholding
approval. Donald Whitko is not in favor
of approving the Concept Plan.
Donald Whitko and Barbara
Slater had questions, after hearing more about the Concept Plan will approve
the concept plan. Parking,
condominiums, and the placing of the trail were among some of the questions
asked.
Gib Williams explained the
Trail House Concept Sketch Plan the Borough is not responsible for any of the costs. This is not a final plan. Gib is confident that the parking will be
met for the project.

SECONDED BY BARBARA SLATER TO APPROVE THE TRAIL HOUSE CONCEPT SKETCH PLAN FOR
THE LUMBER YARD PROJECT. ALL WERE IN
FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.
Resolution to formerly adopt
the internal procedure and fee schedule for the approval of subdivision and
land development plans.
MOTION BY RAY YEANISH AND
SECONDED BY DONALD WHITKO TO ADOPT THE RESOLUTION FOR THE INTERNAL PROCEDURE
AND FEE SCHEDULE FOR THE APPROVAL OF SUBDIVISON AND LAND DEVELOPMENT
PLANS. ALL WERE IN AVOR AND THE MOTION
CARRIED.
Ordinance for street name
changes. Has been advertised for the
August 11, Council meeting.
Easement for Tailwinds bike
shop – Needs to stay a bike shop. If
building is sold and does not stay a bike shop the easement is not valid.
MOTION BY DONALD WHITKO AND
SECONDED BY GENE FRANTZ TO EXECUTE THE TAILWINDS EASEMENT AGREEMENT.ALL WERE IN
FAVOR AND THE MOTION CARRIED.

Adam has prepared a concept
draft for the Trail Head and will be discussed at the Planning Commission
meeting.

Tom is not pushing for the Dam removal.

Stanley 251 Centennial St. Fix
landscape in her yard. Tom reports that
the contractor to do the work is in process.
Drew Larsen Spring Mount
Summit. Bulk items have been sitting
for 8 weeks. Air conditioners and other
things being dumped. Trash pickup is starting
before 6:00am.
Jennifer Spring Mount
Summit. Sign post at Centennial and
Forest Lane, Authority has work order to put them up, should be done by August
meeting.
Arthur Fairclough
161 S Fourth Street - drainage issue, LTL is reviewing, and
residents will be kept informed of what is being done. Letter will be sent to 4th st.
residents about the salt and ciders to be used
during the winter.

seconded by Ray Yeanish to adjourn the meeting at 8:11pm. All were in favor.
