Park and Recreation
Meadow Park, behind the Firehouse, is the primary open space within the Borough. Amenities include a picnic pavilion, a playground with swings, a rain garden and benches. It provides a relaxing spot for people to walk and fish in the Creek. The Borough intends to further develop the Park by adding a walking path and other activities as our funding and grant funding allow.
Hours of Operation
Meadow Park is open from sunrise to sunset.
Additional parks with play areas for young children include a park at Plank Road and Foy Park in Lower Frederick Township. The Rotary Club has organized youth baseball and softball events at its facility off of Cemetery Road (Seitz Rd) between Township Line and North Limerick Road (Perkiomen Ave.)
The Perkiomen Creek bounds the eastern side of Meadow Park. It’s a good spot for fishing and watching the occasional canoeist!
The entrance to Schwenksville at the south end of town was completed in early 2009. The Women’s Civic Club of Schwenksville is helping the Borough maintain the area, for which we thank them greatly.
The Park and Recreation Board will be meeting at Borough Hall on the following dates and times:
